Adopt a Green
A proposal was adopted at the last AGM that members be requested to
“Adopt a Green” with respect to the repair of pitch marks.
There has been an excellent response to our request for volunteers who would be prepared to adopt a green.
We could still do with a few more members to come on board and help with this excellent idea.
All that is requested of you is that when you are playing, both you and your team members would give special attention to repairing the pitch marks on your designated green.
It is important to note that this proposal will not in any way diminish the responsibility everybody has to repair pitch marks on the greens.
If you are interested in adopting a green, please forward your name to
enquiries@kilkennygolfclub.com
We will then correspond to you on the allocation of the greens.

Course News
Wildflower Meadows
Despite the great response by members, we are still looking for some more volunteers to join the greens staff to collect seeds from the wildflowers on Wednesday, 29 September at 08.30hrs.
It will commence with the supplier of the seeds giving a demonstration on how to collect the seeds from the wildflowers, followed by everybody then collecting the seeds.
It is expected that this will be completed by lunchtime. Refreshments will be provided.
This work will create sustainable wildflower meadows going forward.
All are welcome to attend and participate.
The meeting point is the car park at 08.20hrs and you are requested to please bring gloves.

Slow Play.
Slow play continues to be a problem, particularly on the busy week-end days.
Members should remember that their place on the course is behind the players in front and NOT in front of the people behind.
