General Notes
Joint Captains Charity Week-end.
After an absence of a few years, Captains, Paul Colfer and Ber Crowdle have
re-introduced the Captains Charity Open Week-end.
It is great to see the Club agreeing to host such an event, once again and full credit to both Paul and Ber for their enthusiasm and commitment to ensuring the event is successful.
This years benefactors, from the three day event, will be the Alzheimer Association, Kilkenny, with all funds raised, being kept local.
Saturday and Sunday will be a four person Team event. The cost is €20 per person.
On Monday there is a singles competition taking place. Cost €10 members, €20 Visitors
Bookings are available on line via the Club V1 and BRS.
Golf Ireland
Golf Ireland issued an update last week as regards rakes in bunkers and flag sticks.
Clubs are pemitted to revert back to putting rakes back in bunkers and can remove flagsticks if they wish but it is still permissible to continue with our current set up and the club have left all in place for this week and will review each week.
The conditions to allow clubs revert back to using rakes and lifting pins are fairly stringent.
When bunkers come back into play only one player will be allowed to use the rake in a bunker and only one player will be allowed to lift the pin and all players are supposed to carry their own hand sanitizer with them.
