As the Festive Season approaches and the prospect of more members playing golf, it is timely to remind golfers to re-check the protocols required by all of us in helping to stay safe in these extraordinary and difficult times.
Along with the Government guidelines of washing of hands, face masks, keeping social distance, members must, whether playing casual or competitive golf, pre- book a time slot on the BRS.
No member has the right to turn up and go out the course to play a few holes.
By registering on the BRS system it ensures that the Club have complete traceability at all times.
Remember, when entering the Clubhouse you are required to:-
Wear a face mask
Use the hand sanitiser provided
Check your temperature
Register your attendance in the Club
Produce a copy of your Covid Cert every time.
This is simply to comply with HSE directive and to protect the members,
This weekend’s competition is a Four Person Team Event (Gents, Ladies or mixed) and is live for online bookings.
The competition will have a Christmas Theme (wear your Christmas Jumper) to it and competitors are invited to partake of complimentary Tea/Coffee & Biscuits post their round of golf.
Christmas Gift Vouchers
Vouchers are available from the office to go towards Green Fees / Membership or use of the Swing Studio.
Barry Joyce has vouchers available for the restaurant and Club Professional Jimmy Bolger will look after those requiring gift vouchers for lessons or towards the purchase of equipment.
Adopt a Green
Whilst this initiative is now in full swing, it is time to remind all members that it is their responsibility to repair their marks and not leave them to the volunteers to do so.
Remember a pitch mark repaired within 10 minutes will recover far quicker than a pitch mark left for a couple of hours.
The Course staff do a superb job in maintaining your course and you can show your appreciation by helping repair pitch marks, using the divot sand mix bags and using the various bins around the course.
