General Notes
Club Singles Qualifier
In very difficult conditions, of wind, bitter cold and rain, the Club Singles qualifiers were held over the week-end. The scoring was reflected in the difficult conditions experienced by all. Those conditions did not bother our winner, Tommy Barry (PH-19), who for the second time in as many weeks, returned a four under, nett 67. He was closely followed by Cormac Hickey (PH-7), on 68.
A few players, on 76, will miss out on the matchplay. The top 63 will be joined by last years winner, Ollie Carter.
The draw for the matchplay will take place this evening, Tuesday and will be posted on the notice Board.

Golf Ireland. WHS
Golf Ireland have confirmed, with immediate effect, that the minimum handicap requirement for a competitor, to have on his scorecard is his/her Handicap Index. It is also recommended that a player will enter his Course Handicap and Playing Handicap on the card.
Members, who enter competitions, via the Pro shop terminal, will automatically have their Handicap Index, (HI), Course Handicap (CH) and their Playing Handicap (PH).
If you enter a competition using your phone, be sure to record the above information on your card in the spaces provided.

The Masters Draw
The results of the Masters Sweep are posted on the pillar in the Bar. Winners can collect their brown envelope from Dermot or Peter.
Congratulations to Mags Cuddihy and Sean Boland on scooping the top prize.

A reminder to all, placing has been dis-continued.
Players must play their ball, as it lies, in both the rough and on the fairway.

Easter Competitions Kindly sponsored by The Kilford Arms Hotel
This Bank Holiday, week-end, Kilkenny Golf will host an Open Fourball, on Saturday & Sunday. On Monday, there will be a semi-open, Three Person Team event.
The three days are, once again, generously sponsored by The Kilford Arms Hotel. They are also sponsoring the Ladies completion on Tuesday.
The price for entry to open competitions will be, €6 for members, €20 for guests of members playing with the member, and €25 for visitors.

Wild Flower Areas
Members are reminded that, as the meadows are now growing very strong, the wilds flower areas on the course are strictly ‘no go’ areas and you may NOT enter the meadow to retrieve your ball.
Having agreed the entry point with your playing partners, you should identify the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole, mark with a tee and drop a new ball within one club length, without penalty.
Some of the seeds harvested from last year, have been used to help create new areas of colour around the course. The remainder of the seed will be used to cultivate the poor growth areas of last years crop.

Divot Bags return.
Members are requested to search their shed, car boots and any other areas where they may have inadvertently stored divot bags.
If you find any please return to the stand at the cleaning bay near the 18th.
