General Notes

Swing Studio.

The new Swing Studio has been open for some time now, with Jimmy Bolger giving lessons to members.

Unfortunately, and mostly due to COVID restrictions we have been unable to open it to groups of members looking to play a course virtually.

We are now in a position to say that we are opening the Swing Studio to members.

From last Monday (08th Nov.) the following will apply:-

Up to a maximum of four people can book the Swing Studio.

The price has been set at €50 per hour, regardless of the number of people using the studio.

As an introductory offer Members can get a 20% discount on all bookings between now and year end.

Reservations can be made by calling the Pro Shop to book your  time.

For the next few weeks, the studio can only be booked from 09.00-17.00hrs each day.

We will be extending the hours to coincide with bar opening times in December.

Members can use the Swing studio for the following purposes:-

Golf lessons with Jimmy.

Practice e.g., club selection/distances

Playing courses virtually (over 100 courses to choose from)

Club Professional, Jimmy Bolger will be demonstrating the Swing Studio this Tuesday and Wednesday 09/10 October for any member who would like to know how it operates.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is interested in booking to understand the set up.

Jimmy Bolger has invested in the latest Trackman technology and Kilkenny Golf Club have invested in the infrastructure to give members the most enjoyable and realistic experience possible.

It is up to everyone, using the equipment, to ensure that the studio and the equipment is treated with care. This is a fantastic addition to Kilkenny Golf Club and we hope all members can use it to improve their golf, but also derive great fun and pleasure with friends playing together.

With the continuing increase in the numbers of Covid cases, members are reminded, once again, that they must wear their face masks when in the Pro Shop. Do not gather in the shop, rather wait outside until the other member has completed their task.

Please do not delay unnecessarily in the shop.

Face masks must also be worn when entering the clubhouse.

I’m sure you will join me in wishing Club Assistant Professional, Eoin O’Connor, every good wish when he will walk down the aisle with his Bride Emma, this week-end.

On behalf of all the members, management and staff we wish them both long life, health and happiness in the years ahead.
