General Notes
Spring Flowers -Thank You.
A sincere ‘thank you’ must go the volunteers who gave of their time to plant the 14,000 Bluebell & Blue Shade Bulbs in 11 locations throughout the course over the last week.
The fruits of their labours will be seen by all in the Spring time.

Clubhouse Refurbishment
Work continues apace on the refurbishment of the Bar/Lobby area of the Clubhouse with work on schedule.
Painting of the different areas will continue throughout the week causing disruption and closure of some facilities.
Details of the improvements can be seen on the Electronic Display Board located in the foyer of the Clubhouse.
As the project progresses members will receive weekly updates outlining the works being done.

Week 3. Monday, 07 to Friday, 11 October
Sections of the Bar lounge and Ladies lobby area will be closed off for painting.

Week 4. Monday, 14 to Friday, 18 October.
The painting contractors continue their work and will, once again, result in areas of the Bar and Lobby being closed off at varying times.

The programme of works is scheduled for completion on the first week of November with an official launch to be held on Friday, 08 November.

Midland Travel Club Classic Presentation of Prizes
The Presentation of prizes for The Club Classic Fundraiser, which was held at the beginning of September, will take place this coming Friday, 11 October at 21.00 hrs.
All prize winners are requested to attend. If you are unable to do so please nominate a colleague to attend in your stead.

The final outing of Social Mixed Golf will be held on Saturday, 19 October.
Participants are requested to sign in by 13.30 for a shotgun start at 14.00.
The competition will be a 13 Hole Champagne Scramble and will be followed with Finger Food.

Course News
Yes, the softer conditions prevail and yes, some members continue to ignore the pitch marks made by their approach shots.
It the responsibility of each and everyone of us to ensure we look for and repair same immediately.
If we do this we will have excellent greens throughout the winter and greens of the highest standards come the Spring.

Please remember to:-
Replace divots – with sand mix
Repair pitch marks
Rake Bunkers

Divot Mix Bags.
Once again we find the number of divot Bags has dwindled to a very low number. Members are requested to check the boot of their cars, their lockers or anywhere they may have inadvertently put their used bag.

Beverage Credit.
With the end of the financial year fast approaching, members are reminded that any unused balance of the original €50 beverage credit payment which they paid with their annual subscriptions will be forfeited on the 31st October.
Those members who have ‘topped up’ their card during the year will carry forward any balance to the new financial year.
