General Notes
Wednesday, 31 July. Junior/Juvenile Fundraiser. Open Four Person Team Event.

The Open Four Person Team Event will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, 31 July.
This is a fundraiser to support Junior/Juvenile golf in Kilkenny which has over 300 Juniors availing of coaching and competitions, supervised and run by many volunteers in the Club.
There are a number of times available and we would hope parents of Juniors past and present and members would support the day.
Lines can be booked online through the BRS or through the office.
The competition is an Open Four person team event and the entry is a nominal €60 per team.
The presentation will be held on the night at 21.30hrs.

Walker Cup
Well done to Mark Power who, is one of four Irish players to have made the R&A’s revised squad of 16, who are in contention, for the Great Britain and Ireland team, to play against the United States of America in the 47th Walker Cup match at Royal Liverpool.
Amateur champion James Sugrue from Mallow, Dundalk’s, Caolan Rafferty and Portmarnock’s Conor Purcell are the other Irish in the group for practice sessions ahead of the biennial encounter set for September 7-8.

Home Internationals
Jan Browne success story continues with her selection on the Girls Home Team to compete in the Home Internationals at Downfield Golf Club, Scotland, from August 7 – 9.

Social Mixed Golf
There will be Mixed Social Golf this coming Saturday, 03 August. – Champagne Scramble
Sign in at 5.40pm for Shotgun Start at 6pm.

Junior/Juvenile Club
Junior/Juvenile Coaching continues this Saturday, 03 August.
The First session from 09:45 to 11:00 is for Juniors at Primary School level. Juniors must be SIGNED-IN and ASSEMBLED beside the Clubhouse, READY TO LEAVE ‘ON TIME’ as it takes 10 minutes to walk to the practice area.
The Second Session from 10:50 to 12:00 is for Juniors at Secondary School level. Juniors for this session only must assemble at the PRACTICE AREA Car Park and wait until they are called on to the Practice Area.
Coaching Fee for all is €2.

The next Junior 18 Hole Competition is on Monday, 12 August.
Booking is done through the BRS system and the entrance fee is €4. These competitions do count for handicaps. Anyone who has never played in these competitions before should get approval from the Saturday morning coaching staff before starting.
