The drive-in, kindly Sponsored by Club Professional, Jimmy Bolger, will be followed by a four person team event, with a shot gun start.
Members wishing to participate should place their name on the sheet located on the Gents notice boards under the stairway before 17.00hrs on Saturday, 01 February, after which there should be no deletions as the draw for teams will take place at 18.00hrs.
The Golf will be followed by a hot plate. The cost for the days activity including the hot plate is €15.

Locker Keys
Following the poor response for the return of locker keys in the Gents changing room it has been agreed to extend the time frame by one week, to Tuesday, 28th.
From Wednesday 29th lockers will be opened, the contents placed in a box and a new lock will be fitted.
Any unclaimed items will be disposed of in due course.

Course News
Bunker @ 10th
The work on the reduction in size of the large bunker at the 10th hole continues and will probably take another couple of weeks to complete.
Improvement works, to the Ladies tee box, are also taking place at this time.

Buggy Pathway
The work on the provision of a pathway for Buggies at the second hole has been completed.
Drivers will access the pathway from the left hand side of the cluster of trees and follow same until you cross the fairway, short of the second green and join up with the pathway leading to the third tee box.
Competitors whose ball comes to rest on the pathway will be allowed to lift, clean and drop, not nearer the hole, without penalty.

Results
With the Course Closure last week there are no results to be reported.
Weather permitting, golf will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, 22 January.

Senior Gents
Seniors AGM
Despite the lack of golf, due to the closure of the course, there was a large attendance of 71 members in attendance, at the Annual General Meeting of the Senior Gent’s Society in the Clubhouse last Thursday. The names of those (12) who sent their apologies were read out by the Secretary.
It was a very informative meeting and a very enjoyable year for the Society.
Despite the additional costs of the Silver Jubilee, the highlights of which were the excellent outing to Mount Juliet and the production of the 25th Anniversary booklet recalling the events of the past 25 years, the Society had a very successful year.
