General Notes

TransferMate Global Payments Senior Scratch Cup.
There was an exciting finish to the TransferMate Scratch Cup on Saturday which went to a play-off involving Kilkenny player Harry Duggan and Andrew McCormack Castletroy, both players finished on 142 with Harry shooting 67 & 75 and Andrew 71 & 71. The play off was over three holes stroke play, the 1st,2nd and 18th. Harry parred all three and his opponent bogeyed the second hole. It was a great win for Harry and sets him for his return to college in the states. Rosslare player Paul Murphy looked on course for victory after completing the 14th hole as he was three under par at that stage but he bogeyed the last four holes to miss out on the play off and Harry who was playing with Paul birdied the 18th to get into the play off. Mark Power won the best second 18 gross with a score of 70.
The competition ran very smoothly thanks to all the volunteers on the day and the course was immaculately prepared by Sean Dowling and the course staff who had to be in early on Saturday to have everything in order for the shotgun start at 8.45am.
A special thanks to our sponsors TarnsferMate who were on board for the second year.
