KILKENNY GOLF CLUB NOTES
Tuesday, 10 March, 2020

General Notes
Timesheets
We are only two weeks into the new season and already some members have lapsed into the bad habits of the past.
There were a couple of incidents the last two weekends where a few members withdrew their names from the timesheet very late leaving their colleagues without a marker and thus denying them their round of competitive golf and others just failed to turn for their slots without informing anyone. The Committee will be monitoring the situation and appropriate sanctions will be put in place.

Bridge Cancellation
As a precautionary measure due to the presence of covid 19 in the country, it has been decided to cancel the regular Monday night Bridge session until further notice.

A Trip down Memory Lane.
Tom Brett has a substantial amount of old photographs relating to Kilkenny Golf Club, going back to the 1960’s.
The Club have agreed with him that, he would show them as a slide show in the Golf Club on Friday evening, 27 March.
Full details will be published in next weeks notes.

Aon Personal Liability Insurance
Members are reminded that renewal for the Personal Insurance is due on 1st April.
The cost for the personal insurance remains at €27. The cover commences from 01 April and runs for twelve months.
Further details are available from the office and all members should consider taking out this personal cover.

Course News
The heavy duty hollow core session scheduled for this week was scaled back due to the excessive rainfall and has been re-scheduled for the Autumn.
The grounds staff did a hollow tining session on the greens instead.
