Ladies Club Notes

Team Results
Match:- Junior Cup v Callan 14/4/19- Venue:- Borris GC
The Ladies Junior Foursomes team headed to Borris GC to play Callan in the first round of the Junior Cup. In a see-saw contest the Callan Ladies were victorious by a margin of three matches to two. With Mary Norton winning early, on the 11th and Evelyn Crotty bringing her opponent in off the 14th, the match soon swung back in Callan’s favour. Breeda Roche lost on the 16th, Niamh Spratt lost on 13th and Mags Cuddihy was beaten on 17th.

Managers:- Ann Widger & Liz Kinsella

Match:- Junior Foursomes v Blessington Lakes- Venue:- Athy G.C.

The Kilkenny Ladies Junior Foursomes team travelled to Athy GC to play Blessington Lakes last Sunday. Unfortunately the Ladies were on the wrong end of a 2:1 result.
While Kilkenny were giving away 3, 2 and 1 shots in their respective games, all the team members played their hearts out, but it wasn’t to be their day. The weather was truly awful, with the wind and the rain.

Marion Woods & Stella Coughlan were beaten on the 19th. Margaret McCreery & Kathleen Hogan won on the 18th and Liz Cleere & Amy Keating lost on the 17th, after a great battle.
Reserves:- Eithne Murphy and Ana Lyons
Managers:- Paula Bradbury and Ann Greany
