General Notes
Storm Ciara
The weather, once again, caused great disruption for golf enthusiasts at the week-end. Sunday and Mondays card was abandoned because of the very high winds, sleet and snow and the overnight frost on Monday closed the course for the third day running.
The only winners were those 39 who played in the Saturday Crosscard and the 29 members who opted to play in the week-end competition, the results of which are printed below.
Whilst the weather on Wednesday and Thursday looks more promising, the week-end is looking dodgy with more high winds and moderate rainfall.
For Course updates please look up the ClubNet app. and the Members update notices.

Junior Boys Golf Squads
We would like to inform parents of 9 to 13 year old boys in Kilkenny Golf Club of an opportunity for this category of boys to avail of an extra nights coaching from our professionals from April to September . A number of members have volunteered to assist our professionals with this venture . There will be coaching one night a week and supervised play one night a month. If you have a boy in this age group who is interested you can leave his name and date of birth and a contact number for a parent as all communication will go through parents in to the golf office before March 10th .
We will then assess our numbers and suitable days and times . We are very lucky to have three excellent teaching professionals in Kilkenny Golf Club and we are hoping to improve our junior boys teams going forward and develop more young players to go forward for Leinster Coaching.
Names should be left into the Office for attention of Luke Kelly .

Coaching Sessions
Reay Brandon has been appointed organiser of the Saturday Coaching sessions for the Junior/Juveniles.
With just 12 sessions to be held, from June to August, he is looking for volunteers, for one hour, each Saturday morning.
With your support, it is hoped that each member will only be required to cover three sessions during the Summer.
A strong and vibrant Junior Club is the future of Kilkenny Golf Club and your help would be very much appreciated.
